| Dr.
Geula is Associate Professor of Medicine / Neuroscience
at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts and
Director of the Laboratory for Neurodegenerative and
Aging Research at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical
Center, Department of Medicine, Division of Gerontology.
Dr. Geula received his doctorate
in Biopsychology/Neuroscience from Wayne State University,
Detroit, Michigan in 1984. Postdoctoral training includes
a fellowship in Neurochemistry at the University of
Kentucky Medical School, Department of Neurology and
Sanders-Brown Research Center on Aging, Lexington,
Kentucky. He also completed a research fellowship
in Neurodegenerative Disorders at Harvard Medical
School, Department of Neurology, Beth Israel Hospital.
Currently, Dr. Geula directs research on the pathogenesis
of a number of neurodegenerative disorders, including
Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Geula has received several
honors and awards and is a member of numerous professional
organizations. He was recently selected as Scholar
of the Academy at Harvard Medical School. He is an
invited member of many journal editorial boards and
grant review committees. He is well published and
has contributed 75 full-length reports, 20 reviews
and book chapters and 120 abstracts to the medical
press.
