Welcome
to the November issue of the Middle east Journal of
Age and Ageing.
A paper from Iran looks at Picture naming of patients
with Alzheimer disease , aphasia and the healthy
elderly. The authors concluded that The results showed
that there is a significant difference in correct responses
without any cues between the 2 groups( p=0.000) with
aphasic patients being less able to name the pictures
correctly. Significant differences were also seen by
using semantic (p=0.000) and phonological priming (p=0.000).
A paper from Issam M. Al-Bataineh, MD looks at Rehabilitation
of Facial Palsy in Elderly People.
A paper from Australia looks at abdominoplasty results
in middle aged and elderly people.
Finally a paper from Ontario looks at Oral Health Services
in Nursing Homes.
